Yes the music was more oriented towards local numbers, dance-hall and american songs and yes you would find mostly locals and french tourists, but don't let that discourage you, it is a great place for everyone to have a good time. Flic en Flac is a small village located on Mauritius islands West coast, about 20km South of Port-Louis and 30km North of Le Morne. ![]() I can see some reviews whereby they complained it was not that happening, I would recommend if you want to go dancing specifically to go around 1AM, my friends and I literally were the first on the floor (It is quite small though) and gets crowded easily. Prices are what you would expect for a club on opposite side of the beach. Since we already had dinner, we started only with their finger foods and drinks. ![]() Plus, it’s got a lagoon protected by coral reefs. Its white sweep of coral sand is one of the longest and loveliest on the island. Situated along the white sand Flic en Flac Beach, La Pirogue features a fitness centre and large outdoor swimming pool. It seems fitting that a place with such a great name has an equally impressive get-up. Nice live band performance with a mix of English and local songs/music, great to relax among friends with drinks. Flic en Flac's a town on the west coast of Mauritius. The company is run by small family, headed by a man named Victor, and they specialise in fishing tours, cruises, and dolphin watching tours. Flic en Flac is on the sheltered western side of Mauritius, and is famed for its magical sunsets out over the India Ocean. Went there on a week day Friday 4th Jan, quite early we reached by a club standard so we got seats easily, there are 2 bars on the opposite end which is great when you consider how crowded it gets later in the night. One of the best things to do in Flic en Flac, is to go on a real time fishing expedition with the local fishermen, and fish for the freshest catch of the day. Flic en Flac was a fishing village until recently, when it became the second major tourist spot in Mauritius. ![]()
